Susan Selvage was extremely helpful to us before, during, and even after our goat purchase. We bought our first goats from Whispering Pines, and we felt comfortable closing the deal for our twin mini-nubian does long distance. They are gorgeous, and just what we wanted. When we arrived to pick up our girls, we ended up purchasing a third doe! Susan and her husband Vencil are honest, caring and knowledgeable. We would purchase from them again.

My husband and I traveled to the Selvage’s Whispering Pines Farm, down charming country roads, until we turned at the long driveway with a sign telling us we were at the right place. And indeed it was. This was our lucky day! Susan and her big friendly dogs greeted us, and showed us to where their goats live. Theirs was an interesting herd of different colors and different personalities, but we had eyes only for the very small kid whose mother had refused to care for him, making him a “bottle baby.” I didn’t know what that was, but Susan explained that even though it was a less than desirable situation, it provided for a pet goat that is very affectionate, thinking of you as the mommy. Yes, indeed!
We are so happy with our little boy, Finnegan, who was born on St. Patrick’s Day. He is an absolute delight, as are his two buddies, Jet and Bo, who Susan also helped us with. Susan has been a willing source of information, and very much cares. We love our boys!

We had been looking for goats for some time and as soon as we found Susan at Whispering Pines we knew this was the place we wanted to get our goats. Susan was very helpful when picking out just the right goats for us. She was in no rush for us to make a decision and wanted us to be happy about our choice. Susan is very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. All of her animals are loved and she only wants the best homes for them. Her love for them and willingness to help us out and keep in touch is yet another reason for choosing to buy goats here. We have two goats, they are brothers but act nothing alike. We got them when they were babies and they are so much fun and part of the family. We would definitely buy goats from her again. And even if we don't we would go back to visit!

I am so happy that I bought my girls from Susan at Whispering Pines Farm. At the time we made the decision to purchase a Mini Nubian there were no Mini Nubian breeders in our area. It was intimidating researching different places without being able to be there in person. She even encouraged me to really do my research before making a decision. Susan is not out to just sell her goats. She really cares about her animals and who she sells them to.
